Artist Statement
The world we live in today is one evolved from fear, hate, and loneliness. After graduating from high school in the midst a pandemic, and the following years after, this became very clear to me. It seems that life has spiraled out of every form of normality, and one catastrophic event replaces the other. Though it seems the human race grows further apart each day, I believe there is one thing that can save us, our stories. This is my mission, to inspire those who have not been inspired, to give hope to those who feel hopeless, to make way for those who have never had the platform to shine. If there is one thing I have learned in my relatively short lifetime, it is that we all have a light inside of us. A light that deserves to be shared, that deserves to be seen, and that deserves to be loved. If my power of storytelling and vulnerability inspires someone, I will have done my job. Whether that be one or one million people, I am here to connect us all as the curious, awkward, fascinating, and loving species we are.
